Vehicle Stolen From Yard Of Five Points Resident
A resident of Appleton Road in Five Points reported Monday that someone had stolen a vehicle from his yard the day before.
The victim told Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies that he normally parked his 1991 Geo Tracker under the carport, but that he had moved it to the yard before going to church Sunday. He said he returned to his home around 10:30 a.m. and discovered it was missing.
The victim told deputies that the vehicle, valued at $2,000, had been left unlocked and that he had left the keys inside.
The theft currently remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
